The certificate in bakery and pastry course is a 2 year course which deals in food and safety directions specifically in the fields of baking.  That will include: how baking was outset from the past times and how it develops as it went through the generations. It will also include the ingredients that are needed in baking as well as the utensils to be used. The learners are also exposed to more varieties of baked products and how they were baked.


A scholar of this course should be able to:

Present core concepts in baking methodology and theories through hands-on the development and sensory analysis of pastry and baking products.
Elaborate contemporary and advanced classical pastry and confectionery techniques in the planning, execution, development and evaluation of products and creative presentations.
Explore and distinguish impressive restaurant and patiserie operations including sustainable equipment, facilities,and evolving technologies.
Utilize leadership and supervision ideas with the emphasis on communication, positive guest relations and cultural diversity.
Analyzing and integrating problem solving techniques in ethical, professional,and profitable business environment.

The minimum Requirements:

(UCE) Uganda Certificate of Education with at least 5 passes.
